OIL SPILLS IN SEA ICE – PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

This Advanced Workshop is organised by the Istituto Geografico Polare “Silvio Zavatti”. The Institute was founded in 1945 by the famous polar ethnographer and explorer Prof. Silvio Zavatti, and is the oldest polar institution in Italy, with a Polar Museum, Polar library and Archives. It is the publisher of the polar journal “Il Polo”, now in its 66th year. Papers will be published in the Proceedings of the Workshop, and in a special issue of Cold Regions Science and Technology dedicated to the Workshop (see under Publications)
